Since Thursday night there has been so much going on, that I have problems keeping you fellow readers up to date...

On Thursday night we had a Cultural nigh at Student Halls. Exchange student from different countries had prepared stands with cultural stuff, food and drinks. The Hall policy about drinks not allowed was relieved for the night (as it would matter anyway...). We had some minor problems trying to find anything Finnish to offer, so we ended up having a Finnish-Swedish mix-up. For food we had plenty of ham (which run out in an hour), dried brown bread (näkkileipä), christmas cookies (pipari) and arctic-cloudberry jam. Thanks to our beloved neighbours for the IKEA and näckebröd =) To drink we offered of course Kossu, Salmiakki-Kossu and Finlandia vodka. Finland was the only country offering any spirits, so we kept our reputation pretty well on that area =)

Here is a picture of our stand and our Suomi-mascot AJ:

And here is most of the Finnish gang:

Swiss (Ronin and Roman) were offering fondue:

Germans had of course beer and bratwurst:

Our beloved neighbours served silli and näckebröd:

In addition to the stands, each country had some kind of performance on a stage. We taught people how to dance letkiss (letkajenkka). People did tempautua pretty well for it, and we had pretty nice and long worm dancing it. Thanks to Juho for delivering the music. Of course we did not practise it at all, so it turned out to be pretty fast to dance =)

In summary, it was a very nice happening and I had a great time. Haven't found a good video about our letkiss jet, but if I find I'll add it. After the cultural night we went to Lan Kwai Fong, but nothing special about it.

On Friday we went to Ocean Park, but more about it later. Tonight we are going to see a Samba carneval in Lan Kwai Fong and tomorrow we are going to a some kind of ecotrip, which supposedly gets us to know better the environment, flora and fauna. So I'll try to catch up probably on Monday.
